Ready to feel empowered on your health journey?
I’m Dr. Taylor, and I’m a registered Naturopathic Doctor passionate about helping people feel informed, confident, and empowered in their health journey.
My approach is grounded in evidence-based care, meaning I focus on what research shows truly makes a difference. I do not see naturopathic medicine as an alternative to the care you receive from your conventional health team. Instead, I value longer appointment times, thorough conversations, and comprehensive lab assessment when appropriate to help you gain clarity into what’s going on with your health. I also wholeheartedly believe patients thrive when their care is integrative & collaborative.
I am particularly interested in supporting menstrual health concerns including PCOS, PMS/PMDD, and (peri)menopause, as well as metabolic & digestive health.
My goal is always the same: to help you understand what’s going on in your body and feel your best with a clear, evidence-supported path forward.
Hi there,
Working with me: an overview
-
In your first visit, we’ll spend an hour comprehensively reviewing your health history, including: your primary health concerns, current/previous medical diagnoses, nutrition, lifestyle, exercise, stress, menstrual history if applicable, digestion, sleep, and more. From there, we will discuss first steps for assessing your primary concerns. Often, this includes requisitioning lab work. We will also discuss actionable first steps for supporting your health.
-
In this appointment, we will spend time reviewing your lab results in great detail & discuss how they apply to your health and current concerns. From there, we will discuss short-term & long-term goals for supporting your health & build a comprehensive plan to get there. This most often includes nutrition & lifestyle recommendations, addressing nutrient deficiencies, supplements where applicable/appropriate, acupuncture, and referrals for first-line treatments as indicated.
-
These visits focus on refining and building on your initial treatment plan. We check in, see how you’re going with initial recommendations, discuss what is and isn’t working, and adjust your plan from there.
In most instances, patients thrive with 3-4 touch points after our two initial visits before moving maintenance check-ins (quarterly-annually).
-
I have a particular interest in supporting menstrual health concerns, including but not limited to: PCOS/PMOS, PMS, PMDD, and (peri)menopause. I’m also passionate about supporting digestive health as well as metabolic concerns (insulin resistance, pre-diabetes, high cholesterol, and metabolic syndrome).
I am currently only accepting patients ages 14 and up. If you are looking for support for a child younger than this, please reach out, and I can refer you!
Also, my work & my space welcomes folks of all backgrounds & identities.
-
I currently practice in Pembroke, Ontario at 84 Isabella St. seeing patients across the Ottawa Valley.
I also provide virtual care & am accepting new patients across Ontario.
